Nyamirama Parents Primary School (NYPPS)
Founded in 2000 | Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence in 2026
Nyamirama Parents Primary School (NYPPS) was founded in the year 2000 to share with the Nyamirama community the parents’ school model that had enabled the creation of Kirima Parents Primary School. The 400-pupil strong 10 class school is located in the center of Nyamirama Twon Council just in the now enormously grown town center. The school has a nursery section with beginners, middle and top classes and then primary 1-7 classes with boarding facilities for up to 200 pupils. Upon the founding of NPPS Nyamirama township was a desperately poor community with no clean water supply and overwhelmed with malaria infections because of its close proximity to River Ntungwa and the flat savanna lands of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Nyamirama has in its 25 years of educational services supplied professionals for all sectors of Uganda’s economy as well as essential services like clean water and micro finance. The current year 2026 marks a silver jubilee in which upgrades in innovation program, academic performance and physical infrastructure upgrades will all be upgraded for future growth.
Nyamirama Parent’s Primary School is fortunate to be in the immediate neighborhood of the mighty River Birara, which crosses Ntungwa bridge approximately two kilometers along the new tarmac road to Rukungiri Town. Water transport, fish farming and surveillance of hippopotami that stray upstream from Lake Edward are all amazing Jungle professor attraction.
