Nyakabungo Parents’ Primary School (NYAK PPS)

Nyakabungo means place on a hill and truly this CHIFCOD school has the most stunning views imaginable, with views of all the hills that surround Rugyeyo sub-county. Global geographical conventions classify as a mountain, any land formation that rises beyond 600 meter and within this range it can be proudly declared that Nyakabungo is surrounded by the following mountains: Katabishabo in the East, Mukurwe in the south, Katerampungu and Kirenzi in the west and Mabare in the north, in the immediate vicinity, literally less than a kilometer in the north of the school. NYAK PPS. Every CHIFCOD institution has stunning tourism and indeed educational natural feature. For Nyakabungo, the mountains are the great treat that have shaped the communities’ hard-working culture which has over decades produced millionaires from the poorest of families.

The 400 strong school is driven by its history as community where the CHIFCOD founding directors received their earliest education. It boasts of consistently high academic performance alongside being a tantalizing entrepreneurship campus where every inch of its large generous campus has an enterprise ranging from livestock crops, energy projects and the best soccer pitch in the mountainous community. Founded iin2003 the school has contributed thousands of professions to Uganda’s workforce.
